The Nitro Code Enforcement issues construction permits and reviews plans to meet minimal standards of the IRC codes, enforcing protection of life, health and safety. Other responsibilities include; flood plain, zoning, addressing and property maintenance.

Ron King has been a Nitro Resident his entire life. He served as City of Nitro Captian of the Fire Department for the past 14 years. Ron has many certifications in safety and saving lives. Ron is married to Sherry and they share three children. Ron recently took the position of Code Official/Fire Marshal in July 2009. |
